A Typical Day…
The pupils will meet Thorkil a Norse Viking who is looking for a crew to raid Lindisfarne, and learning where Vikings came from. Children will then start their training in the shield wall and learning about the weapons and armour of the time.
After break children will have chance to explore everyday objects from Thorkil’s house, working out what the objects are and what they were used for.
Following lunchtime the pupils will learn about the runes by making a rune stone of their very own. The day will be rounded off with a story about some of the many Gods and Goddesses in which everyone takes part.
